At
present, the Firm is based primarily in Bangalore, and the clients
include several multi-billion dollar US companies. Due to the established
relationships, the Firm works in broad areas of technology including
telecommunications, networking, digital signal processor architectures
and software, application specific integrated circuits, data base
technologies, web server software, printers, computer graphics,
television systems, etc.
Prior
to starting the Bangalore office, Naren worked extensively with
early stage aggressive companies in Silicon Valley, CA/USA. The
companies represented include Paradise Electronics (flat-panel technology,
acquired by Genesis Microchip
for $135 Million in 4 years of formation), TeleCruz
Technology (leaders in providing ASICs for Interactive Television,
raised over $50 Millions in venture capital so far), Tharas
Systems (functional verification systems), Starium
(encryption technology for telephone communications), Zeitnet Division
of Cabletron Systems, Covad
Communications (peak market capitalization of over $ 8 Billions),
etc.
Before
starting the Firm in Feb 1997, Naren worked with Sterne,
Kessler, Goldstein and Fox in Washington, D.C. Before that he
worked in the legal departments of Intel
Corporation and Cirrus Logic.
Naren has a J.D. degree from Santa
Clara University School of Law (1995), M.S. Computer Science
Degree from Michigan State University
(1987), and B.E. Computer Science Degree from Andhra University
(1985). Naren is registered with the state bars of California
(1999), Virginia (1996), United
States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) (1997), and Indian
Patent Office (2001).
